We are often asked, which one to prefer for the hot tub – a stainless metal stove or an aluminium stove?
To ensure the best quality and durability, we use AISI 304 stainless steel stoves for our DeLux series hot tubs. Why stainless steel? It is extremely durable and withstands various agents and chemical substances used to clean the water of the hot tub. A stainless steel stove is also more user-friendly. Should it happen that you forget some burning coals in the stove after using the hot tub but have already emptied the tub of water, the stove will not be damaged so easily. For a stove made of aluminium, the damage that occurs to the stove with such a human error is irreparable. In addition, the service life of an aluminium stove is shorter and it takes less time for them to lose their beautiful appearance and durability.
There was a period when aluminium stoves became very popular because it was said that they conducted the heat better and got the job done quicker. By now, it has been proven untrue. Our stainless steel stoves have been designed by the engineers to direct 100% of the energy produced by heating to get the water hot. That is also why it takes phenomenally little time to heat up a DeLux hot tub – only about 1.5–2 hours.
It is also worth mentioning that using products that contain aluminium is associated with aluminium toxicity in the body. Excess aluminium in the organism relates to decreased renal function and the occurrence of nerve problems, muscle weakness, and bone diseases. Therefore, the water in the hot tub heated with an aluminium stove may have additional side effects besides invigorating you. It is safer to improve your health and relax in a hot tub that uses a stainless steel stove to get its water hot.
